Conditions We Support

Your diagnosis is part of the story. Your daily meals are another.

Explore the nutrition questions that may be relevant to your care. Acceptance into a service depends on the person’s needs, the right professional and local availability.

Discuss suitability before booking.

This page describes areas for nutrition support, not a promise that every specialist service is currently available. The treating team’s instructions take priority when a diet needs medical supervision.

Diabetes & blood-glucose concerns

Making meal timing, portions and carbohydrate choices understandable alongside prescribed medicines.

Coordinate with: Your nutrition professional and diabetes clinician. Avoid skipping meals or changing medicines without advice.

High blood pressure & heart disease

Discussing salt in everyday cooking, packaged-food labels and practical choices within your heart-care plan.

Coordinate with: Your nutrition professional and treating clinician. Heart-failure fluid and salt advice must be individualised.

Kidney disease & dialysis

Turning the renal team’s instructions into meals, with protein, fluid, potassium and phosphate decisions informed by stage, treatment and reports.

Coordinate with: A professional with renal nutrition expertise and the nephrology team. A generic low-protein or high-protein diet is not suitable for everyone.

Cancer care & recovery

Discussing appetite, food intake, weight change, treatment-related eating difficulties and caregiver support.

Coordinate with: Your oncology team and a suitably experienced nutrition professional. Food planning supports treatment; it does not treat the cancer itself.

Liver disease & cirrhosis

Making the treating team’s nutrition instructions practical and addressing poor intake or difficulty maintaining a regular food routine.

Coordinate with: Your hepatology or treating team and nutrition professional. Do not start a restrictive “detox” diet or assume all liver conditions need the same plan.

Digestive concerns

Reviewing the food and symptom history, existing diagnosis, restrictions and the everyday difficulty being experienced.

Coordinate with: Your clinician and nutrition professional. Unexplained symptoms need assessment before broad food exclusions.

Older adults, weakness & recovery

Discussing food access, appetite, weight trends, meal preparation and assistance with eating.

Coordinate with: Your treating team and nutrition professional; rehabilitation or swallowing specialists when needed.

Stroke rehabilitation & neuromuscular conditions

Helping caregivers organise food around an already assessed swallowing, positioning and nutrition plan.

Coordinate with: The rehabilitation team, dietitian and swallowing professional. A food consultation does not establish a safe texture or feeding route.

Autism, ADHD & childhood feeding concerns

Exploring practical mealtime routines, selective eating and whether specialist paediatric nutrition support is needed.

Coordinate with: The child’s paediatric and nutrition team. No cure, behaviour-change or routine exclusion-diet promise is made. Specialist availability must be confirmed.

Bring the current plan into the conversation.

Share existing dietary instructions, relevant reports, medicines and the difficulties you want help with. Do not order a panel of tests or start a restrictive diet just to prepare for a consultation.

Let’s make the next meal easier.
